Electric heating came about as an alternative to traditional heating, with the following advantages:

• It’s a system that doesn’t require such things as a boiler, fuel deposit, or gas metre, therefore building work is kept to a minimum.
• Once up and running, the cost is no more that gas heating.
• Thanks to new technologies, electric heating does not require increased voltage to be contracted from the electricity board.
